Truth

I am supposed to write about only one word and here i am, sitting with an empty mind as always, because no matter how much i believe in truth i never thought that i might have to define it.this word cannot be defined on its own...Truth ..the scariest yet most  fulfilling topic i have ever come across.  Truth in itself can be very brutal and reckless, for example death. And beautiful and freeing as well, For example "God exists" is a very freeing statement for those who believe in him and "God doesn't exist" is a freeing statement for those who don't believe in his existence..either way one of the statement is true..either he exists or he doesn't.

So what is truth..i mean we all know that its the facts. But facts keep on changing..from flat earth to round..from sun revolving around the earth to earth revolving around the sun..from one galaxy to  an ever expanding universe..these were all facts that were supposed to be based on a certain truth and those fact changed.

Truth is the pillar of reality.what is the criteria for the truth? is it subjective or objective? for me its both. Objective in a sense that truth has to have some kind of proof for its falsification..and subjective in a way that truth needs to be based on personal experiences in order for us to actually believe in it no matter what the common opinion is about that matter. Unfortunately subjective opinion has caused us to divide on truth because everyone's mind cannot comprehend certain realities and so they derive an opinion according to their own intelligence.

I guess the part that scares me is what if we find out that what we know to be true is not true at all..that will shake the whole point of our existence.. most of us choose to ignore the truthfulness of something..because once we admit it, our conscious will have to keep the facts in account.we all live by certain norms and certain rules and we have to have the assurance that what we believe in or what we know of is true..other wise we have no solid ground..its like flying without wings.

After reading about different theories of truth like corresponding theory, coherence theory and pragmatic theory which by the way went over my head with all their fancy words  and explanations, i am caught in this web and i must say as in the words of philosopher Hilary Putnam  these theories are "disaster". Because those who presented these theories are very confused themselves. These theories are very subjective and hence cannot justify many other variable.

I am forced to say that "Every beginning is the truth" meaning every origin in its purest form is the truth no matter of its subjectivity or objectivity.

Like every thing truth has an origin where its in purest form  and  the identity of truth is lost some where beneath the layers of generations of thinking selfishly, and more you scrape, the more it reveals itself. like i said before, its a scary yet a very fulfilling topic. So scary that i am afraid to write about it, that i might be judged, that i will be left alone. yet so fulfilling that once you own it you don't care about the judgements or being alone.
